WELCRON has completed the expansion and relocation of its defense production facility to Gimhae Techno Valley in Gimhae, Korea, strengthening its manufacturing and development capabilities for advanced protection solutions.

The new facility covers approximately 9,900 square meters and is equipped with advanced manufacturing systems, including large-scale presses and autoclave equipment. The facility was established to support the development and production of a wide range of ballistic protection products and advanced composite protection solutions.

The expanded facility strengthens WELCRON’s capabilities across both personal and platform protection. In addition to ballistic plates, ballistic and stab-resistant vests, ballistic bags, and other personal protection products, WELCRON is expanding its development capabilities for add-on armor solutions for military vehicles, armored vehicles, and naval platforms.

The company is also developing lightweight personal ballistic plates designed to reduce weight and thickness while maintaining the required protection performance.

The Gimhae facility represents an important step in WELCRON’s strategy to strengthen its defense manufacturing infrastructure and expand its ability to support both domestic and international defense programs.

Building on its expertise in advanced fibers and composite materials, WELCRON DEFENSE will continue to strengthen its engineering, manufacturing, and product development capabilities while pursuing new opportunities in global defense markets.
